Welcome! My name is Katie DeBoer, and I am running for Michigan State Senate, District #33. I am running to serve my community and to bring Michigan back to our founding values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
I believe I am the best candidate for this district. Why? I think I have the two most important attributes when serving in a public office. Those are a humble heart and an astute mind.
I am an imperfect person saved by the redeeming work of Jesus Christ and I aim to follow and serve him in all that I do. My life is a testament of his faithfulness to me. When our Kent County children were under a debilitative mask mandate, I pulled my kids from the public schools and founded a Christian homeschool co-op for the community. I also serve the public as a Kent County Commissioner and have served and currently serve on many boards and committees.
I am experienced, capable, and intelligent. I have humble beginnings, but those obstacles have not stopped me from building businesses, running for office, representing the public, fighting the status quo in politics, earning an MBA in Finance, being a licensed builder, realtor, and a developer. With previous work experience in the chemical and engineering field, I enjoy and succeed in analytical challenges. I love being able to serve the public with my mind. I have also been an adjunct professor and recently authored my first book.
Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to browse to learn more about me, my positions, and what I hope to do for you as your next State Senator.
All for WE THE PEOPLE,
Katie DeBoer
